Rena Systems, Inc. names
new president.
OAKS, Pennsylvania –
April 19, 2007
– Rena Systems, Inc.
has announced changes in top management. Nick von der Wense,
formerly vice president, has become president. Bodo von der Wense,
formerly president, has become chairman.
“This move ensures
that Rena Systems will continue its leadership role in the industry
with a strong management team,” Bodo stated.
Nick von der Wense, who joined Rena Systems in 1998, had also
previously served as the firm’s national sales manager.
Rena Systems, a leading marketer of envelope imaging systems and
mailroom automation products, was established in 1984 by Bodo von
der Wense. Since its inception, the company has been an innovator in
introducing new products that were industry firsts. Examples of
these products include:
• The first direct-address printer. It used a dot matrix technology
-- before that, the industry was using labelers to apply pre-printed
labels.
• The first printer that could apply the Postnet barcode based on
what the Postal Service was using.
•The first tabber machine in the U.S. Now, to get the best postal
discounts, the tabs are required.
• The first inkjet cartridge printer using HP technology. This
started the inkjet revolution; before that, all print technology was
dot matrix.
• The first fixed head printer with digital robotic positioning, and
an automatic maintenance system.
By 1987 Rena had put together a network of dealers, and it just kept
growing from there. The number of Rena dealers has grown to over 200
today.
